Hitwise Hong Kong announced that visits to finance website Fund Supermart (www.fundsupermart.com) grew by a staggering 5884% between the months of May and June 2008 in the Business & Finance - Banks & Financial Institutions industry. Fund Supermart is an online investment solutions provider that has recently launched in Hong Kong. Fund Supermart experienced a record monthly rank of 5th most visited Banking & Financial Institutions website during June, which was up from 87th during the previous month. During the first week of July (week ending 05/07/2008), Fund Supermart maintained its strong position, ranking as the 4th most visited Banks & Financial Institutions website and accounting for 6.51% of all visits to the industry.
The News & Media - Print industry has been a strong referrer of traffic to Fund Supermart (59.57%), with publications Headline Online (www.hkheadline.com), Sing Tao Daily (www.singtao.com) and The Standard (www.thestandard.com.hk) among its top 3 upstream websites during the week ending 05/07/2008. Much of this traffic has presumably resulted from successful Fund Supermart banner advertisements existing on all three websites.

During this week, the website increased its market share of visits by over 8%.
The top three websites referring upstream traffic to Yahoo! China were Google Hong Kong (22.15%), Google (9.06%), and Yahoo! China - Digital (4.53%). After users visited Yahoo! China - Knowledge, the top three websites they moved on to included Google Hong Kong (7.71%), Yahoo! Hong Kong (5.66%) and Yahoo! China Web Messenger (3.86%).

The Hong Kong website for fast food giant McDonalds (www.mcdonalds.com.hk), experienced an increase in market share of visits by over 122% and moved 9 places to rank as the 3rd most visited Food and Beverage website during the week ending 05/07/2008. The cross promotion of the new Kung Fu Panda movie by McDonalds is likely to have triggered this spike in traffic, with Hitwise Clickstream data revealing that the top website referring traffic to McDonalds Hong Kong that week was entertainment website Asiadog.com, which hosts a link to the McDonalds online interactive game Kung Fu Panda Party Challenge.
