Visits to Singapore Pools Peak Due to 10 Million Dollar Draw
According to Hitwise, Singapore Pools (www.singaporepools.com.sg) experienced its highest ever share of visits (58.07%) in the online Entertainment - Gambling industry on 6 February, 2009 due to its annual Toto $10 million Hong Bao Draw. The traffic spike to Singapore Pools coincided on the same day as its annual Toto Hong Bao Draw. Similarly, Singapore Pools' second highest share of visits (50.61%) was received on the same day as the previous year's draw on 21 February, 2008.

In January 2009, Singapore Pools was the leading Entertainment - Gambling website with a market share of 36.67% followed by Sport Bookie Online (www.sbobet.com), AsianBookie.com (www.asianbookie.com), and IBC bet (www.ibcbet.com) with respective traffic shares of 7.94%, 6.91% and 6.50%.

Despite Singapore Pools' recent strong performance, the Entertainment - Gambling industry declined by 38% comparing January 2008 and January 2009. This could be due to increased spending caution by Singapore Internet users amidst the global financial crisis.
