| The Most Popular Wellbeing Websites for Women |
Using Hitwise Lifestyle, which incorporates MOSAIC USA, a leading household segmentation system, you can identify the most popular sites in an industry that attract a specific segment. For example, the top three websites in the Hitwise Wellbeing category that attracted the largest volume of women aged 25-34 in the "Major University Towns" type were eDiets, BeachBody.com and Women's Health for the four weeks ending 01/10/2009. The Major University Towns segment consists of a mix of college educated households and dormitory students located in satellite cities that house sprawling universities, such as Madison, WI and Baton Rouge, LA. The households in Major University Towns tend to be young and exuberant consumers. They take care of their bodies as well as their minds, spending free time playing racquetball, lifting weights and jogging. In fact, these households are often on the go, whether it's relocating for work or traveling to both foreign and domestic destinations.

| Twitter catches up to Digg |
January 20, 2009 - Heather Dougherty
Twitter has become a popular pastime for many who like to update their daily thoughts and activates, as well as for the voyeurs who just enjoy reading the tweets. Last week, the market share of visits to Twitter surpassed Digg for the first time since launch and was ranked #84 (one above Digg at #85) in the Computers and Internet category. A big driver of traffic to Twitter last week was around the US Airways plane crash in to the Hudson River last Thursday, driving many posts and updates about the situation. One photo of the plane taken by Janis Krums, was viewed by many people via Twitter and was subsequently used across a number of traditional media outlets.
